Then frankly, I don't think you know what you're talking about.  Any professional astrologer worth his salt will understand the difference between the tropical and sidereal zodiac.  Some astrologers may prefer the sidereal zodiac, and therefore may be drawn toward Vedic astrology.  But astrologers who go by the Western system generally understand the difference.

It is certainly true that when the signs were named, they drew their names from the constellations that were there at the time.  But that does not mean that the sign is the constellation.

True, however my intelligence won't allow me to believe in bullshit. I guess you could say that is a bad thing, but the trade off is that it allows me to be "successful" in life at least from a monetary/possession standpoint and i feel i do quite well from an emotional standpoint too.

No it's not a bad thing. Why would that be if you have other shields that you can tell yourself are not bullshit.

He said professional at first, but then referenced a body of knowledge that he expects astrologers to follow.  There is a big difference between being a professional and being a 'guru' or expert.  Professional astrologers publish traditional horoscopes and western consumers eat them up by the truck load.  Just because silversoul appeals to an esoteric form of astrology does not mean everybody else does.  Westerners who are into astrology, as an amateur or a professional, work with the twelve signs.

I have noticed this kind of evasion alot in this forum.  A poster will appeal to an esoteric and historical definition of something because it fits their world view while ignoring the modern, majority definition.
