Poo Q
    #1111077 - 12/04/02 06:50 PM (21 years, 4 months ago)

I have a few poo/staw casings going and there are not yet fully colonized and they are pinning like mad.
I?m assuming Cubensis with its natural mycelial momentum will correct this in time, but just thought I would ask anyway, they are 90% colonized, and I can just see a few spots of substrate not yet colonized, but pins are still forming on these uncolonized spots.

I guess my question is, should I fruit them?
Or keep them in incubation and wait for colonization?

Just happened with me reasently with some T3.
I applied a thin casing layer and fruited the puppy.
Looking good now.
It`s what you get for checking on your casing every day.
Try to leave the dung to colonise unattended next time, or atleast check on it less.

That`s why I love the T3.
You go to no effort, no cold shocking, no drop in temerature.
If it`s ready, it will fruit

Please tell me T3s have large fruits off of dung, I recently harvested 2 1/2 pints brf cased with 50/50+ and I was very disappointed at the small fruit size.

Like I told you in another thread skikid, T3 has produced nothing but even flushes and large fruit on my side.
Naturally a few are smaller but not that small.
The rest were all big tall fruit.
It`s generally a beautiful strain.

Oh BTW
I was planning to fruit off the casing layer, and am wondering if I should maybe throw on a coco coir casing layer, as it's not fully colonized?

I sprinkled a thin layer over the top to cover everything
But not a thick layer, just sprinkle your casing over till it covers everything.

You should see mushrooms coming through the casing in less than a day after apply the thin casing layer.
