Cakes and perlite
    #1111044 - 12/04/02 08:42 PM (14 years, 11 months ago)

If I have cakes in a terrarium with perlite do I have to mist and pour water into the perlite, just pour water onto the perlite, or just mist?

Thanks

I believe that perlite alone is enough to hydrate a cake, maybe a light mist on the verm layer between each flush would suffice.

You really only need to pour a certain amount of water into the perlite. Some suggest wetting the perlite first, placing it at the bottom of the terrarium, then covering that layer with a dry one.
