Question about spore syringes

Just wondering if anyone has used spore syringes from Spore Works... I'm wondering if one syringe will be sufficient to inoculate 10-12 PF style jars. I believe the syringes are 10 cc's

Yep they can do 10 pf jars that 1 cc a jar or 1/4 cc per hole in each jar

yes they will be fine for 10 jars. If your realy carefully you will get 12. Generaly 1cc per jar is plenty. squirting 1/4cc per hole can be tricky.

Be sure to shake well before inoculating each jar.

Put 4 grams of honey or karo in a 1/2 pint jar and then add 100mls of water. Pressure cook for 20 min or boil for 30. the lids should have a self healing innoc port and a tyvec or polyfil GE port. after you PC just let cool down for min 6 hours and then innoc with 1 cc of spore solution

lol i see that recomended all the time, yet i hardly see it actually in use.

g2g just seems like a much better and more reliable way to expand cultures

i usually just put the karo in the water, shake it, then sterilize it

g2g doesnt require inoculation loops or a flowhood. g2g transfers dont even require a spore syringe. You simply IPA clean your jars well before transfers, and pour colinised grian into a freshly sterilesed jar.

yes hes doing a PF cake which cant be g2g.

So, then spawn to bulk. Just another way of expanding your mycelium :-)

Best stick to basics though wehn your startin out. Spores colinising pf cakes, get frits prints and you will have plenty of spores to experiment with other methods.

If you take 1 print from each cake, thats alot of spores to play around with.

but not everyone has a PC for grains.. also OP said he was doing PF tek.. PF tek and LC's go hand in hand in my book..

just made 2 lcs tonight actually :awedance:
