I ate 17 of some double dip back in 98, my brother fought my mother in the front yard while i smoked out in my buddies car.  About a min b4 the police arrived i told them to go and "I got this"!  I went and grabbed my pit bull puppy and stood at the stoop to my mothers house.  The Police arrive, get out of their vehicle, and examine the scene.  I will never forget that visual and my response.  The cop "slinkied" and from the exiting of the car, to roaming around the yard like the kid did in the Family Circus cartoon, made his way to me.  He drew the flashlight to my eyes and all at once the slinky was let go and he snaked up into the one cop in front of me and says "your F'd up son", "Yes sir i am, but I'm here on private property petting a puppy, do you want to pet her for a minute?".  He laughed so hard he left :laugh:



hahaha... my even involved a putbull about 9mos old, 4 of us dosed up
and peaking on a school playground with the dog, cops rolled up and we
took off through the woods and over a couple fences into the
neighborhood behind the school, we were cutting back towards my house
(across from the school) when mark realized his dog never made it into
the woods, we could hear the dog barking and the cops shouting, mark
kept insisting we go back for the dog, just mark and me

we did, via the street, got around to the back of the school and mark
screams "dont shoot my dog!" both guns that were pointed at the dogs we
then pointed at us, mark called the dog and laid across it to keep her
down and protect her, had the leash and collar in his hand, cop asked
what was going on and mark started to say something that was
incomprehensible and I said "you've got to excuse my friend, he's from
chicago so he doesnt speak english yet", the cops lightened up

anyway we fed them a line of shit about him just getting the dog and he
wanted to see if he was going to have training issues, a couple guys
came out of the woods and the dog broke free and went after them, we
went for the dog so no one would get bit and lost track of the dog until
we heard him back at the school barking... it was close enough to the
call they got about 4 guys and a pitbull that they were fine with it
we got a $25 leash violation

the fun part was the 45 minutes on the curb watching the lights
strobing, the bumper doing the wave and what looked like oil creeping
into a crack and flowing back out again... and I'm telling you, the cops
eyes were as dilated as mine

"you guys been drinking tonight?"
'a little, couple beers'
"how is it that it's the middle of october at 2am and you're sweating?"
'I just chased a dog a quarter mile through the woods'
"I guess you have a point, glad you came back for the dog, we were about  to shoot it, that thing wasnt giving up it's ground"

it was about 7-8 years ago so about 32 as for why cops would shoot a dog,
because what appears to be a vicious dog preventing them from getting to
their job possibly posing a risk to them or to other... it's what they do
