I'm not sure Europe is even capable of producing a beer as low in quality as american budweiser.

Oh they have beers far below budweiser.  Anything French for instance

Well I was referring to my escapades on the east coast, where icehouse is much more expensive and natty is dirt cheap.
I dunno about here, all I drink is chimay and shit.. I'm a beer snob.

You are very wrong, have you ever had
a Biere de Garde, aka french farmhouse ale?
Nothing form europe matches with the
shittyness of bud.

Didn't Budweiser start in the US? Isn't the name just German(I have never heard it associated with the Czech Republic).

Anyway, I drank alot of water. I do anyway. I think that there maybe more then one cause of the hangover. Alcohol is a drug after all, maybe it was like a coke crash and I was detoxing, plus lack of sleep, plus a shitty bonfire the night before. I heard silica gel pills and other absorbent things can help hangovers too.

wikipedia:

Budweiser is a German adjective describing something or someone from the city of Budweis, a city in Southern Bohemia, Czech Republic. Since 1919 the city has used its Czech name, České Budějovice, as its official name.

Two breweries were founded in the city that made beer which they called "Budweiser," both being beers from the city of Budweis. In 1876, the US brewer Anheuser-Busch began making a beer which it also called "Budweiser." This led in 1907 to the "Budweiser trademark dispute" between beer companies claiming trademarks rights[2] to the name "Budweiser."

The three companies are:

    * Budweiser Bier Bürgerbräu, founded 1795 by German-speaking citizens of Budweis (České Budějovice), which began exporting Budweiser Bier to the US in 1875. The company was expropriated in 1945, they changed the name of the company, but the company reacquired the old naming rights in the 1990s after the fall of communism
    * Budweiser (Anheuser-Busch), made by Anheuser-Busch in the United States, was first marketed in 1876 as "Budweiser" in the United States and Canada
    * Budweiser Budvar, a brewery founded in 1895 mainly by Czech-speaking citizens of Budweis (České Budějovice)

Eh I was being a bit facetious, however I lived in France for a period of time and tried a lot of their beers.  I mainly bought the ones as sold in Cora or other big markets.  And they were all awful, just awful.  In fact when I lived in France I mostly exclusively drank German or Belgian beer as for some reason they didn't like selling British beer.  Italy also makes terrible beer like Peroni.  Budweiser is honestly not 'that' bad, it has flavor to it something that Peroni or Heineken can't claim.

Will do.. I always though icehouse and rolling rock were pretty good for the mass produced, low cost beers.

But mm magic hat or dogfish head or moose drool :drooling:

Heh(like I pay attention to shitty beer), but now that I know calling Budweiser the "great American larger" is utter bull shit for marketing, it makes me feel...deeply angry at them. That's like saying Pokemon is an American video game because they make the plastic toys and games here(hypothetically). Heineken Dark Lager is MUCH better then the skunky original.

I must say I find Heineken to be such a hilarious beer.  To me it tastes watery and boring as all get out, yet people shell out prices similar to what Id pay for, as Shroomism pointed out, Dogfish Head and the like.  Id rather drink Grolsch over Heineken but even that is eh.
