Preserve 4 grams for 8 months ?

Im leaving for 8 months and can't bring my mushroom. If I put them in a platic bag and take off the more air I can and hide it in the dark somewhere in my closet will they be fine ?

If they're dried correctly and you double bag and jar them I don't see why not.

I never have kept shrooms for that long though so someone of better expertise might be able to advise you better than myself.

you should be fine as long as you be sure to dry them completely and then get a canning jar (the kind you make fruit jam in) and use that since its very air tight.

A rubber sealed jar, desiccant pack and proper drying should have them preserved for way longer than 8 months.

yup. you don't even need the desiccant in my experience but it's probably not a bad idea.

I had mush last for a good ~8 months before and all I did was put them in a big ziplock and put them in a drawer. I didn't take any of them, ended up giving them to friends, but they didn't mention any loss of potency. Might have even gotten compliments on the potency even if anything.
