So given the ingredients that i listed describing farina, would possibly if i heated up a couple grains in some water in a shot glass in the micro( of course to rid of any nastys ) and mixed with the usuals, would it possibly be beneficial to the growth of the mycelium if i was doing a culture. I mean since it does like a diverse/variety of stuff to munch on would it do harm, only asking cause u never know it might love the shit and thrive. Any opinions or thoughts on that?

I'm sure it would work. As you try different things, keep the total amount the same. If you add farina, use about as much as you would malt+dextrose or whatever.

ok so im gonna go and whip up some good ole agar for culture. Im gonna use 9gs of agar ground up mixed with 2tbls of potato flakes but im unsure on how much dextrose(corn sugar) to mix in with it. I got 20 petri dishes so i wanna know how much to use to fill these up, been reading for a couple hours and I cant find a good recipe/mixture to do so. Any one got a good mixture for what I got to work with? Got no honey and rather not buy any, I wanna use what I got cuz i got alot of it.

Heat up your water, add the agar, then give it as much dextrose as what will dissolve easily. I think you'll find it'll only want to take so much before it gets harder to stir it into solution.
i'm gonna guess it'll take about 1-2 tablespoons per cup of hot water+half stick of agar agar before it starts clumping up in there and not wanting to dissolve.

500ml agar will be enough to pour 20 dishes. I have had great success with the methods below
Malt Extract Agar (MEA) 10 grams light malt extract 9 grams agar agar 500 ml potable or distilled water Pc for 35-45 minutes
or
Potato Dextrose Agar use the broth from boiling 150 grams sliced potatoes in 500ml water for 30 minutes strain(bring liquid to 500ml again)ie pour the cooked spuds thru a tea strainer and use the remaining liquid for the agar. once cooked bring the liquid back to 500ml by adding water. then add 9 g agar agar 7 grams dextrose and some yeast-extract (optional) to the spud broth and PC for 35-45minutes.
