Need Timing tips for my terranium with casing

I killed my first casing by over humidifiying it and now know that i will also need a humidification meter, can anyone out there tell me what their timer runs if they do casings in terraniums too? thanks help is much appritiated

I run 2 bubble airstones in 2 big cut top liter soda bottles with 2 fishtank heaters, i use to have perlite but i took it out beacause i think it contrubuted to the over humidity
