This site here says for $25 you can have "a life-time supply of spores". It said there are at least 10 million spores. Would it be wise to buy it, since I thought $10 could get you enough spores for one harvest.
The site is here. Scroll down and click "shrooms" and then click the thing for $25.

Thats just a gimmick. All prints have millions of spores and technically all you need to grow a mushroom is 2 spores. So it is true.
But typically, non-agar users make prints into spore syringes and each syringe has tens of thousands or millions of spores in each one. Each 10cc syringe is used to innoculate 10-12 standard brown rice flour and verm (PF) cakes each resulting in about 5 dry grams of mushrooms on average (50-60 grams total).
So if you don't use agar and you plan on making a syringe from that "life time supply" of spores. And you don't make prints from your resulting crop (assuming you get a crop) then it won't last a lifetime.
If I recall correctly, Homestead book company sold prints that advertised "10 million spores" and the print I received was only 1/4 of a whole print and not very dark. I'd go with the $10 spores. If you lack experience, a premade syringe is recommended. Good luck!

You could always get a print for $1/1 ?uro from the Free Spore Ring. I use the FSRE, they have a large variety and I have never been disapointed yet.
