cobweb mold

so i just dunked the cakes but the contam barrier had liek some of teh mycelium in it but it looked somewhat liek cobweb wasnt all over the place but it was liek mixed in with the mycelium
so my question is i sprayed them with h2o2 and put them in the fc if teh do produce fruit am i okay to eat them?

I'm not positive, but if it produces fruit, then it probably wasn't mold, but like my husband stated above, really need pics to help with this one.

Just hit it with a few sprays of diluted H202 over a day or so. If the mushrooms grow and the Cobweb doesn't come back your all good

yup just did that today and yesterday now im back to just straight water to spray hope it goes all good

cobweb should be treated with 3% h202, which is the concentration is usualy comes at. No need to dilute, use straight.
If it was cobweb it would fizzle and melt away.

So true. I have had cobweb twice. The fist time I diluted the H202 and all it did was knock the cobweb mold down and it came right back. The next time I got it I used the H202 right out of the bottle and it worked like a charm VERY VERY easy fix! Good luck!

yea its a little gray but it was liek teh mycelium was mixed in liek taking it over so i just went ahead and put it in with the others sprayed it with H2O2 i think im okay tho

Its normal to see wispy Myc coming through the dry verm layer. I thought it was rare for cakes to get cobweb while still in the jar. I think alot of people confuse wispy myc to the dry layer for cobweb

see that what i was thinking like how do u get cobweb mold cus u cant really add fresh air into it makes sense that the air inside could be stale but yea
