 Coming Back To The Tribe

I'm probably one of the few who didn't come to entheogens until their 30s, after I had developed a career, gotten married, and done the whole straight life thing. Needless to say, it changed my life. I began using them, I'm ashamed to admit, excessively for me, 3x+ a month. I was growing as a person, I was changing into a better person, I was seeing all the flaws in me that I had somehow missed in three decades of life. On a personal basis, I was becoming a better person. On a professional basis, it was harming my career, since I began to not give a shit about any of it. I began realizing that I was disrespecting myself, and disrespecting the power of the substances, and decided to take a hiatus. I stopped using everything for 6 months. Everything. I stopped associating with the culture, I stopped posting here, I stopped everything. I wanted to get some balance back.
A month or so ago I began to feel that it was time to dip my toe back into the pool again, so here I am. If things go as planned, I'll be fully back in the tribe, albeit at a slower pace, in a 4 or 5 weeks or so. So...I just wanted to say hello again, and urge everyone to be very watchful of yourself, and be honest with yourself, about the choices you make. These are great things, and I think it definitely took me a while to figure out how powerful they really were.

then welcome back, and im glad you chose to do so in moderation this time. furthermore what brief story you've told should be (and was) rather inspiring about the power of drugs, both for the good and the bad. in addition to the fact that you came into it later in your life, perhaps theres hope for others as well, for such personal growth and discovery.

I think everyone should go through a period of their life with heavy tripping. then after that maybe a few times a year ( for me anyway)
