I like to use peat/verm instead of straight verm, but hey you do what you gotta do.

Prohibition will work great injury to the cause of temperance. It is a species of intemperance within itself, for it goes beyond the bounds of reason in that it attempts to control a man's appetite by legislation, and makes a crime out of things that are not crimes. A Prohibition law strikes a blow at the very principles upon which our government was founded.

I'm much too lazy to look up a tek for you, thats your job. But I use lizard bedding blocks from any pet store. They consist of coco coir. I take a pot and cut a chunk of the block of coco coir and sterilize it for one hour by means of boiling. I do the same with some vermiculite. Mix the two in a 75% coco coir 25% vermiculite mix and case. Always use a bottom layer of strictly vermiculite. Drop in your substrate mix and case ontop. Search around the Teks are there. I've never worried about PH balancing.

you shouldnt have too since coco coir and vermiculite are not very alkaline or basic??? hehe now peat on the other hand is alkaline and lime is basic.

Yeah I figured that. I never messed with peat, seemed like too much trouble. I like to keep it simple and cheap.
