was going to try some 1/2 pints of millet anyone out here tried that? Also colonization times on 1/2 pint and pints of millet?

They'll work, but why do 1/2 pints when you can do quarts? 
Oh and what the guys said above about them taking 23.whatever days, make it more like 7-10 days.  Millet is a superfast colonizer because you can shake it (as opposed to slow BRF), since it is fast, it allows you to use greater volumes than you could with brf.

I personally only ever use smaller millet jars when I`m dealing with a fussy or more delicate strain like Liberty caps.
Otherwise I use pint jars or quart jars.

On a serious note, I answer questions because many times no one likes to answer newbies, and they just tell them to read the FAQ's. Thats fine and dandy, but I remember how confusing some of the reading was, and it helps to have it presented in a more personal manner.
I love this hobby, and I think its cool to see other people get alot out of it, if I can help someone understand it better, it makes me feel satisfied.
Do I have a life? Well that's up for debate. What do you consider a life? 
As far as uping my post count, I really don't care about it.
