Cobweb on casing...?

I cant tell if its cobweb mold or fluffy mycelium.... Are there any ways to be sure? It cobweb mold dangerous if i let the shrooms grow?

I never save a casing I think is contaminated. I don't shit where I eat. I would let it grow and develope because you might be confused. Be sure to isolate it from all other casings and or cakes.

So was it cobweb? If you can't tell by the pics, you can tell by the smell (although it is not recommended to smell any contaminated cultures). Mycelium smells like, well, mushrooms. I've found that cobweb as a strange sweet smell, that reminds me of faint permanent marker or new sneakers. (sorry, I know they are strange things to relate to, but that's the best I can do.)

Sometimes mycelium and cobweb can look way too similar. I reasently recieved a petris dish of Azure on straw dust. The mycelium was identical to cobweb, however I know the mycelium is fine and no contamination is present. But generally with cubes, as the cobweb develops you can`t miss the grey fluff.
