Um I think that is inaccurate. I have personally encountered chlorophylum molybdites pins (and later green gilled mature specimens)that turned distinctly red.

always go for a spore print when unsure.

I did also do a spore print. It's just nice having multiple tests to help narrow it down.

yeah, without mature specimens i'm not comfortable separating those species myself.
