I grew kings on straw and got only one flush and it was only so so.

I wonder though if you are referring to productivity growth or taste when grown on straw ?

People have said that the best for kings is paper.

They will still need nitrogen, but it's not the only condition you need to satisfy for a good crop.

OK, just to let you guys know. I just had great success growing them on composted horse manure mixed up with coco coir. In a ratio of 4:1 respectively.
