Am I the only one that thinks that mushroom trips are somewhat "dark?"  ....

it is hard to explain.

Bad trips are not my case as I have had euphoric trips and one difficult one, underneath the euphoric body buzz and feelings of wonder there is also the feeling that there is so much truth being absorbed that things take on a "creepy" or "wierd" sort of feel. Things may look really detailed bend, breathe and when I sometimes look at patterns I see these bright subtle faces but they always looks somewhat scary...

Things do not become scary but dark... Can anybody relate??....

I know what you mean. They always seemed like some science fiction styled bardo state to me. Like you are catching a glimpse of a very deep and powerful, yet somewhat frightening region of your own mind/reality.

Mushrooms are pretty weird for me but I just embrace it; I've always been pretty cold hearted and an asshole, may as well live w/ it during the trip.

Instead of letting it weird you out, weird the mushroom out. Scare it by being crazy.

like Terrence always said lsd was more of your thoughts fears hopes..

and shrooms were more of an outer alein voice that guides you, more spiritual vision

Hm, they are low to the ground, they are a fungus.. consider these concepts.. earthy and dark. They die off quickly, and respawn just as quickly..
I've too noticed the darker-ness with Mush.. but the only comparisons I have are to LSA, LSD, 2CI, and DMT**(i said dxm here before x.x).. LSA was definetly darker, LSD was basically wahtever I made it, DMT was so bright and if I may even say "holy", yet still had a dark feel, and expression to it, and only even 2Ci just seemed to not be able to make up it's mind..
<shrugs> i think they will all still have a sense of darkness to them as long as they are illegal or considered "bad" to others.. I mean, there is always a sense of "beware of being caught" with any drugs..

I just find the experience very abstract, yet at the same time it all makes sense.
I have a fondness for things that are dark though, so thats just who I am.
But it doesn't seem amplified with shrooms.
