How much debt are you in?
    #11070823 -

I think I am totally fucked. I owe a credit card over $500 (probably not that much compared to some people) and they call me CONSTANTLY. In addition, I also owe people money who are threatening to hurt me very bad. I am a nice kid and I don't deserve to be murdered/beaten. They also call me CONSTANTLY. Thus I have made a thread in the Marketplace trying to sell my shit so I can save my ass so plzzz check it out and see if anything interests you. Thanks!

Anyways, how much debt are you guys in?

My wife and I have $50k in combined student loans.  We have a few grand on credit cards from a move, but that is revolving debt.

Sorry to hear that man. CC debts suck though. I've got about $20k in student loan debts, I think. They don't bug me that much though. But it costs me $$$ every month.

That makes sense, but still $500 isnt really that much.  You should be able to think of something for that.

And that # will triple by the time im out. Calculated pay off estimate is somewhere in 2028. Unless of coarse i hit it big. Living in america is all about managing positive debt. the dollar bill itself is an instrument of debt. Lets say you make widgets. Your wealth is measured in widgets. When you sell one for a dollar bill you now have an instrument of debt that others are willing to exchange for their wealth. It's a fun game when your winning tho.

My wife and I both have student loans, which are secured at a low interest rate.

Other than that have worked very hard to pay off the debts we had accrued on some credit cards for our wedding & honeymoon & relocation expenses four years ago. (Thousands of dollars). We also own older model vehicles, so we don't have car payments. We are very good about using the credit card frugally and paying off the balances evrey month.

If you owe money to people who would actually hurt you, that is probably the debt to be paid off first.

Credit Cards: paid off in full every month
Student loans: $1857

I'm in my fourth year of university, so I'm pretty pleased with myself.

I'm shocked that a CC company is harassing you over $500. The minimum payments on that amount must be less than $50/month.

nope... I've paid all my back taxes, this is a case where the IRS has
lost paperwork and instead of requesting it again the send bills based
on what the believe I owe, I've been requesting proof that I owe that amount

Maybe like $16,000 in student loans.

Other than that I owe the 'rents for their assistance thus far in paying for rent and bills and food since I've been at university.  Plus what they've paid for my education.

My parents are good to me

But they'll get theirs when I'm getting mine.  For sure.

$50,000/year when I graduate if I land a sweet gig.

Otherwise, I'd say I'll be getting $38k/year with a shitty entry level job in my major.  But that'd increase in 5 years to around 50,000 I'd bet.  I'm good at working and learning and movin' on up.

I'm going to be a land owner

$3,500 still owing to my dad for my skydiving rig.

About to get ~$30,000 (got $10k saved) on a fixed interest homeloan to buy 30-40 acres out rural.

£500 with my bank and £8000 with the government. By time I finish my degree that'll be up to £32000 =/.

Luckily I have enough money in cash for me to negate that overdraft on my bank, but those damn student loans are gonna follow me around forever.

That's what happened with me and ITT Tech, only I didn't get ANYTHING out of it.  I didn't learn one single new thing in that place.  It was as if I just signed a paper saying, "throw me in a lot of debt, starting NOW", then carried on my life as usual.  I wanna level that piece of shit.
