First of all, you apparently didn't read enough about bulk.  You ALWAYS wait for 100% colonization, whether you're spawning to bulk or doing BRF style cakes.

According to who?  Why do I "always" wait for 100% colonization, what difference is this going to make?  Where's the tested proof of this?

Poseidon apparently didn't read the post.  The bulk sub wasn't cased, which would apply to the OP's problem if the OP had cased.  Yes, being fully colonized IS a pinning trigger.  When the mycelium noticed there is nothing left to colonize, it WILL induce itself into fruiting, even without light or FAE.  It's the only way for it to continue its life cycle.  Kinda like humans growing wisdom teeth;  when your body senses that it's time, they're gonna grow.

Oh gee, thanks for breaking down in to a nice simple analogy for me, now I understand it much better, and I stand totally corrected.  =/  The problem with your opinion is that you are not a bloody university educated mycologist, and yet you seem to think you understand the most complex details of P. Cubensis birthing.  Most of what is written in that text archives is totally unsubstantiated.  Very little of it has been proven.  That being said, I speak only from completely empirical understanding, as a rule, and I do not pull any pseudoscientific garbage like this out of my ass.  Thusly, taking only Swim's tried and tested experience as material for what I am about to say, most strains will yield higher in both actual volume and pins on the first flush if they are put in the FC approximately when the first patches of mycelium appear--and this is tested with isolate.  With certain strains the difference is actually night and day.  Some will barely pin at all if you put the tray in fully colonized, some it doesn't make a difference.  I am not going to try to justify this with random picks of unscientific BS ("the mycelium gets too hard and dry and old on top and dies!  It can't pin through that").  99% of the supposed science people espouse here is just assumption, and there's a dozen different assumptions for each assumption.  Take it all with a grain of salt.

HELLO, NUBCAKES.  ARE YOU HAVING CONTAMINATION ISSUES?  WELL, YOU MUST NOT BE AWARE OF THE MAGICAL FORCE OF BACTERIAL ENDOSPORES.  E-N-D-O-S-P-O-R-E-S.  SPELL IT OUT, YOU GOD DAMN NUBLETS, BECAUSE IT WHAT CAUSES EVERY CONTAMINATION KNOWN TO MAN.  ENDOSPORES HAPPEN WHEN YOU DO NOT PRESSURE COOK AT 15 PSI FOR AT LEAST 6 HOURS.  LIKE A FUCKING VIETCONG IN HIS CAVE, THESE RELENTLESS COCKSUCKSERS CAN GET FUCKING FRIED AND STILL POP OUT OF YOUR GRAIN AND FUCK ALL YOUR SHIT RIGHT UP!!  GETTING CONTAMINATIONS?  WELL OBVIOUSLY, YOU DO NOT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT ENDOSPORES!!

"The problem with your opinion?" Honestly, WTF is that supposed to mean? Throw around as many gratuitous big words as you like, fact of the matter is; anyone who thinks using "swim" is going to legally protect them is a moron and in my opinion, probably not to be trusted.

That being said, you preach about the lack of scientific process for other people's claims, yet you have nothing to back up your own.

ppppppffffft. "Thusly." Who says that?
