Im not too sure what to answer here.
My belief follows one the ancients follow, that the sun is ultimately our god, for without light ( energy ) we would be nothing, because light is the stem of all growth on our planet.
However, i believe that we are gods on our own level, as we can create and take life at a whim.
so thats my short opinion :]

I don't, just putting out an option C.

The problem here is we are assuming God exists without defining what we are assuming.

To some God is all of nature. To others God is everything. To some God is a man with certain infinite characteristics and the supreme good. To others God is enlightened soul which we all join eventually. Some have many Gods.

What is this thread really insinuating?

You are correct. First we need have a thousand page thread on "What God is" that goes nowhere before showing the flaws in claims about God.

I would have assumed one of those already existed.

Hundreds of them exist, but EO thinks that one more will somehow enable us to define the undefinable.

I always thought that it was:
We are all God remembering himself.

It goes foward and backwards like the true nature of reality.

If you are god remember himself you are a living person who will remember he is god.

If you are being reborn as a person you are god forgetting you are god.

It continues on and on in an endless cycle infinitely.

Everything in this reality is cyclic is it not?

I can't think of something that has a beginning that doesn't have an end. But I guess if something has a beginning, it only has a beginning because it has an ending.

Too many trips have turned into thinking about cycles of circles. Seriously, what a waste of time; you always end up in the same place you started. Kinda like life..

I think the question is flawed.
If we all ARE god, how can we also be BETTER than god? We're better than ourselves? That is a meaningless statement.

People who go for the "we are god remembering that we are god" argument are not talking about your classical "dude-in-charge" god. As I understand it, they're using the "the-universe-is-composed-of-god" model.
