Re-casing and straw

OK, so i have an old casing....probably a little over a month old. My question is, if I were to take the old casing, brush off the vermiculite clinging to it, crumble it up with straw, leave it for a few days, then case with damp vermiculite, will it produce mushrooms again? Is dependant on how much straw i use? or will my flush be crapy and stunted?
Basically.....would this be worth doing?
any input would be appreciated...

well casing is close to spent it might spawn the straw with no contams but only one way to know is try. pasteurize the straw and do a 1:5 ratio with around 70-80% RH for straw.

Should be ok if you and the old casing are still sterile.

Nah, fuck it...........i bought cheap crappy timothy hay before i knew bout all the nitrogen and shit in it. I got new jars on the way, and the mushrooms wouldn't be that good probably anyway.... :frown:
