Bets for Iraq war

So, war is inevitable in Iraq for round 2 of the Gulf war. So who wants to put bets down on the day that massive bombing starts (daily bombing of military sites doesnt count). Everybody gets one guess. I say January 14th 2003.

It would be more interesting to bet on what kind of excuse will they find for bombing, since UN inspectors probably won't find anything.

I bet media campaign about UN and inspectors incompetence will start soon.

I dont even remember my guess but it was in February I think...

America dont go to war during the Holiday season because its bad politics... America has never started a war in the months of November, December or January and I believe that its because our soldiers families are voters and they want to be together during the Holidays...

I Pick February 3rd.... This is after the new Years hangover recovery zone and long enough before Valentines day so women can meet new men in bars and have bastard children which will raise our nations economy....

You dont know that. Bush is a poilitician and like any other politician he is just a pawn to a white house full of advisors. I would be willing to bet that even in the republican filled white house there are plenty of people telling ole George to back off a little and wait for america to back him. Bill Clinton attacked that one place where ever it was that asprin factory and it blew up in his face. I would say it is 60/40 to wether we go to a full fledge attack against Iraq 60 in favor of course. That is unless Sadam does somthing stupid then I would bet on Feb 21st. War is not good politics unless your constituents are angry.

I think it will happen after a nuclear attack they talk so much about.

Bush will say saddam did it, america will be scared to death, and will go to war with saddam, and possibly columbia (back to vietnam guys), and off to armaggedon we go!

I'm kind of disappointed; I was expecting the Iraq war to happen in the first year of Bush's reign- and that he was saving the real big big war with China, North Korea & whoever else wants a piece for his second term in office.

But now that he's got the War on Terror and the War on Drugs, that's *almost* as good as having a Cold War... Who needs to actually fight?
