I'm hoping these are amanita muscaria var. formosa.
Habitat: They were growing under some type of pine trees in Northeast Ohio. Picked them last night.
Gills: White in color. Attached to stem.
Stem: Length: About 7 - 8 inches, Diameter: About 1 - 1.25 inches, Color: white, Texture: Typical amanita texture, solid, thick.
Cap: Diameter: 7 inches on largest specimen, Color: Bright Yellow. Yellowish Orange. Some are orange in the center and fade to yellow, Texture: slippery, convex and concave specimens.
Spore print color: White
Bruising: None.

Looks like a form of muscaria to me...I can see the three "rings" on the stem base in the last pic.

How did you distinguish it from A. flaviconia?

A. flaviconia doesn`t have the obvious concentric shagginess at the base of the stem + the stem is powedery yellow, alot more then muscaria var. farmosa.
My observation from my flaviconia find vs many a. muscaria var. formosa pics.
Nice finds

The stem and annulus both look powdery yellow to me, especially in the 6th pic. Furthermore, there's only three rings on this mushroom--and they're not very shaggy. In addition, the base of this mushroom is not very swollen, and it narrows towards the cap. Ref: http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/9327978#9327978
I still say A. flaviconia.
Are these all the same mushroom? How many mushrooms did you photograph? Please number them if they're different. Is the entire mushroom this yellow, or is it just the lighting?

For having seen 10 flaviconia specimen in my hand, I can say that the strong yellow poweder on the stem and the strong yellow warts are very different from a var. farmosa.
The color of the warts he got there is cotton white in my opinion. (not yellow like flaviconia.) Unless the photos fooled me.

It's the lighting. I find plenty of flavoconia and it's not one of them. The stem on flavoconia have a powdery, YELLOW surface. Not powdery-yellow. The flesh is white underneath and the base is bulbous and white. The whole mushroom is usually less robust than these. Here is an Amanita flavoconia that I found...
