Yet Another Melatonin Thread

I've been taking Melatonin regularly for quite some time now, and recently I've started to read quite a bit of threads and Erowid trip reports after having come across information about Melatonin being a tryptamine. Knowing this, I wanted to discover its potential in the realms of recreation.
I started by tripling my dose from 5 to 15mg. The first few times I did this, I noticed markedly more vivid dreams that were unusually easy to remember. I didn't really notice much of a hangover except for the slight euphoria that came with frequent yawns that serotonin supplements usually induce.
Last night, upon further research that ultimately availed no further discovery, I decided to double the modified dose. I took 30mg of Melatonin, and went to sleep. I had intense, and meaningful dreams that at this hour, I cannot manage to recall in great detail. However, throughout virtually the entire day, I have experienced intense euphoric yawns, significant (yet not quite overwhelming) desire to sleep, and something very similar to this erowid report.
I experienced similar body sensations (vibrations) while experiencing LSA. I lay down for about an hour on my bed at about 7, and I was twitching randomly as I heard a variety of familiar and unfamiliar voices speaking, sometimes conversing in a variety of real/false languages. Eventually, I went to sleep. Upon waking up, I felt much more fuzzy with vibration. I had marked distortion of visions in the dark. The feeling and visions were similar to DXM and serotonin-syndrome.
These findings weren't all-too unexpected, being that Melatonin is a tryptamine. It's quite an interesting thing, regardless.

serotonin is a tryptamine it doesn't mean you can take it for recreational purposes. we have a bunch of them in our heads.

I'm aware that not all tryptamines are recreational. However, 5-HTP, and serotonin supplements can cause acute serotonin syndrome, resulting in euphoria, hallucinations, and some other undesirable side-effects. I use the word "recreational" very loosely, because all experiences with any drug are subject to the user's opinion.

No, but I've stumbled upon it once or twice. I think that there is a fine line that separates lethal and non-lethal serotonin syndrome.
I'm not sure if it was serotonin syndrome, but I recall "tripping" off of about 160mg of Citalopram (SSRI). The effects were quite similar to DXM, and they lasted almost 3 days.

serotonin syndrome doesnt mean u are "tripping".
serotonin syndrome occurs when ur brain stops producing or becomes desensitized to the proper amounts of the neuro-transmiter serotonin.
it can cause extreme depression, abnormal sleep cycles, paranoia, and hallucinations (not the fun kind)
