Anyone else like the visual stylings of Wes Anderson, director of Bottle Rocket, Rushmore, The Royal Tennenbaums, The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissu, The Darjeeling Limited, and the soon to be released children's film, The Fantastic Mr. Fox? What are some of your favorite movie directors?

Yea he's good.

That short at the beginning of Darjeeling limited is gold; Anderson really knows how to protract comedic tension into absurdity. For instance, what "makes" the short for me is the insipid song that is looping over and over on the record player (the one that sounds like a refrain for puff the magic dragon.)

I am also a fan of Charlie Kaufman, who is somewhat similar (Being John Malcovich, Adaptation, And Synechdoche NY, among others)

Could talk about similar "loops" in any one of those.

I agree. I've seen Being John Malkovich and I own Adaptation. The latter was really brilliant. It also showcased Nicolas Cage's acting ability. I've read that one of his criticisms is he is a two dimensional actor. His portrayal of the Kaufman brothers proved them wrong.
