I think the PF tek would be faster and easier. Many newbies have a hard time dealing with the amount of time it takes for a myco bag to colonize.

Yup, I suggest the PF-Tek. All of my experiences with Myco-Bags have been horrible, but once I utilized the PF-Tek results came quickly.

I'll have to agree, start with the PF tek, and go from there. Welcome to the hobby, and good luck!

So far I've gotten 42 grams dry from one mycobag, and it's still flushing. It all depends on your knowledge. If your clean and not lazy pf tek is much cheaper and you get experience. If you have money to burn, you don't have the supplies, or if your lazy mycobags are good too.

in a flower pot. it's got a layer of perlite, and I cut the "cake" out of the bag and set it on top. then I taped saran wrap over it and poked a few holes in it.

I don't have a PC or a stove. I did case another bag with scotts 3-in-1 compost, after 2 flushes was about 1oz dry.

I've been thinking of doing a contest or something. I don't know if the thing works, my girlfriend picked it up at a garage sale for cheap as hell. I think it needs a new seal.
