What is it with people complaining about the taste of mushrooms!?

Seriously!
Damn man, before I had my first shroom trip, I walked 3 miles, stole a cactus out of a person's yard (they had so much, I KNEW that they wouldn't even notice.), and walked back with a 5kg cactus that wouldn't stop bumping on my leg, sliming on my fingers, slipping out, hurting the heck out of me. I then proceeded to boil sayed cactus down to a cupfull of crud. In the filtering process a few peaces fell in and I didn't notice...
I drank this slime with chunks it it with a smile on my face, feeling exited about the oncoming trip. I ended up puking my guts out for 4 hours straight with almost no break inbetween pukes, just enough to breathe, sometimes...
The worst part is, because I didn't know of columnar cacti that wasn't under tricho's (infact, I was under the impression all columnar cacti where tricho's! How wrong I was, lol.) and I used the trichocerius key to identify it, it ended up being inactive.
Yet I embraced the experience as a learning experience and considered myself lucky to be alive...

Now I hear of people complaining about the taste of mushrooms?
Damn some people can be such pussies. Sure they aren't exactly a culinary wonder, but hey, PEOPLE HAVE DEDICATED THERE ENTIRE LIVES TO EXPERIENCE WHAT YOU EXPERIENCE SO OFTEN, AND SO EASILY, AND MOST STILL DON'T EVEN GET TO EXPERIENCE IT! Look at Buddhists, and some native cultures initiation rites... I can promise you that 95% of these adherents wishing to experience pretty much the same thing as the psychedelic experience don't get CLOSE to what you get out of 7g of shrooms, or even 4g! AND YOUR COMPLAINING ABOUT TASTE!?! And some even complain about nausea...

I think salvia tastes good. Kinda like green tea. :tongue2:

I a -small- amount of 10x left..... but REALLY I want whole leaves just for the taste. :crazy2:

Taste just like dried porcini and other wild mushrooms to me - the same mushrooms I'm served in risottos and other dishes in restaurants.  And certainly better than truffles that people pay big bucks for in their food (really not a fan of truffle oil). Never understood what people's problem is.  Then again  - some people just don't like mushrooms. Strange though.

ha...people complain if they have to put any additional effort into ingesting something compared to LSD...or why does it take so long to come on

in fact I'm surprised we've even got this far in the stage of existence. I'm surprised that energy didn't just stop moving or start spinning backwards at the sound of a billion voices complaining that anything ever has to do anything.

What if when a baby is born their crying is just them complaining that they have to be alive now? They'd probably complain about the ability to feel pain until they started complaining that they couldn't even tell that I had just slapped their face right off

I find that if one complains about the taste for 15 minutes after ingestion the onset effects are multiplied by a factor of 5x atleast!

So everytime I ingest mushies I make it a point to tell everyone within a 15 foot radius of me just how awful the flavor is.

Then I usually trip.. :tongue:

JB201 that nug in your sig is DANK!!!  That shit has so many trichomes on it, and theyre like big enough to see the structure of em.  Those boomers are nice too.  Is that other picture passionflower or some kind of lotus?

On topic, I cant say Im a fan of the taste.  Ive eaten raw plenty and would prefer tea any day.  Why? Cause I can.  Why would I eat something I dnt enjoy the taste of when I could drink a tea that tastes good?  Ill still eat em raw if I cant make tea, but tea is prefered for me.  The more potent they are the worse they taste.  Psylocybin isnt the most refreshing taste in the world, and I find it lingers on the palette.  It seems to stay the whole trip which is something in itself, cant say whether its good or bad but its definitely a reminder.

If a piece of human shit made you trip would you eat it? I know its a great experience but for the past 20 years I have not been able to chew mushies. I usually take small pieces and swallow but by the time I am done eating 1 big cap and stem I usually start trippin, it takes too long that way. Now I grind and swallow with a drink. Sorry I fuckin gag (dont puke) on the bad taste but I would rather feel good while trippin and not wanna puke then worry about the fuckin Buddhists. I do great on my trips so I'm not worried about If I am a pussy for not chewing. I say take em how you can get em, Just my opinion though.
