Ok.. I am pickling vegies recently and happened to notice that pepercorns swell and hold a lot of moisture.. Think they would be useful as a substrait instead of grain?. Obviously more expensive, but I was just wondering

me if you have questions about lasers
Although i may advise others in a general way regarding all types of mushroom grows, and may even post question from other forums about growing "active" mushrooms, i only grow non-"active" mushrooms and edibles.

have never heard of this being proposed before. interesting idea and this website leads me to believe it may work out, and well at that.

anyone feel free to dispute or add to this, it is an interesting proposition though.

In high school i added whole peppercorns to some whole grain brown rice and it colonized and fruited fine.
the ratio was about 5 parts whole grain rice to 1 part peppercorns...
the results werent incredible, so i dont know if they actually made any difference other than maybe keeping moisture
