what do you think about using verm and brf to make bulk trays?i was thinking of using tin trays and covering them with tinfoil,pc'n them and then adding spawn, im sure this would work ? has anyone done this method ?or do you think it would work?

1) won't colonize fast enough
2) will contaminate without something like the dry verm barrier.

bulk substrate needs to be pasteurized. you are talking about using sterilized brf for bulk. it would most likely contam fairly quickly. brf and grains are best used as spawn, not bulk.

Good choice. You can use colonized brf in bulk tubs- grow it in jars as normal, then use it like you would rye.

Right, understood, agreed. All I'm saying is that you can use colonized brf like you would use colonized rye.

Yes, of course! Just didn't want there to be confusion. I did my first tub with brf cakes and it was a beauty. Grain is more fun, except for the prep work IMO.

No way, And why would you want to do this anyway ? Its not like brf was cheaper than coir!
