2 agar ?s. Best way to transfer to grain jars? & How does my myc. transfer look? (pic)

Okay, so my main question is what is the best way to transer a colonized agar dish to a grain jar? Do I put the agar in the jar too or just the mycelium?
Just throw the whole chunck of agar in the jar?
Just scrape the mycelium off the agar and put the mycelium in the jar?
Cut the agar into wedges and put them in the jar?
And this is my mycelium transfer on agar. How's this look?

Cut wedges. Transfer to jar. Shake the jar violently, but don't drop or smash it against anything.
Your myc looks good.

Okay, so should I put all the wedges in the same jar? Or can I split up 1 petri dish into multiple grain jars?
And do I actually put the agar in the jar? Or just scrape the mycelium off the top of the agar, and only put the mycelium in the jar?

One wedge, one jar. To make a wedge, cut all the way to the bottom of the dish, make a fairly small triangle (about the size of your blade) and toss the whole thing into the jar.

Okay.
And that 1 wedge should colonize a whole 1-quart grain jar?

Yep, and in a hurry. Mine colonize faster than any MS syringe I have made.
Just shake after you toss it in. Use a flowhood for best results, of course.

Okay, sounds good.
But I'll be working in a glove box. I don't have a flowhood.

Glove box works well too, if you made that plate in the GB, then I'll assume you know how to use it well enough to do agar.

after cutting wedges can the remaining be left for later with chance of success, stored in the right conditions of course? I'm assuming the growth will continue unless put in cold conditions

keep your hands out the way while you open the petri, and cut quick and fast, fingers at end of knife, one little wedge is all it needs, shake so wedge lands covered in grain, on side, or middle doesn't really matter, good luck ,that plate looks ace

Okay, I'll be tranfering tomarrow. Jars are pressure cooking right now.
Razor blade will be pressure cooked before hand for sterilization...
