some bulk questions

i couldnt really find an clear answer with the search function and i read through some teks but i still dont know lol...anyway, with the monotubs, is it neccessary to use manure? i would like to try one of these but i really dont want to have to use manure. liquid cultures, can i just take some myc out of a substrate jar and drop it in? i came across one tek and thats what it sounded like, i was originally going to spore print but doing lc jars makes more sense to me seeing as how i have around 15 jars that are colonized (half of them have been for a week) and i dont have any space to put them if i birth them, hence the reason why i'm looking at lc jars and monotubs. not only because of the yields but also because of the space saving. right now i have 2 shot gun terrariums (my pinning problem from the other thread has been solved, thanks guys) and i have a couple styrofoam coolers i was going to use to make a couple cheap terrariums just to get by but then i saw the monotub lol.

1) You don't have to use manure, any bulk substrate will work in a monotub 2) Grain LC the way to do what you want with the myc.

Try Large_Dose's TEK.
It uses coir, coffee, and vermiculite. All stuff you can get by visiting a few stores around town.

feild aged manure is easy to work with, as long as its ready it doesnt smell. Just wear gloves as the fibres can irritate the skin.
ou can also use coir or straw, or you can use a combination. Verm, used coffee grounds gypsum can be added.
Colinise grain and once colinisted layer bulk and grain. theres a vid on RR's site

thanks guys, i think coir, verm, and coffee with wbs is probly the way i'm gonna go. the only thing i have against manure is personal preference, you know, eating something that you know was grown in shit lol. i know it cant really hurt but just eating something from shit and knowing it kinda bothers me, even though i've more then likely done it before. i see some people saying used coffee grounds and some just saying coffee, is there really a difference? i mean used coffee was basically just soaked in water and heated lol

"coffee" means used coffee grounds if you are talking about use in a substrate with coir and verm.
However, weak liquid coffee beverage is often added to grain soak water. RR and others talk about it a lot.
