Dehydrator Qs

alright, now i know there's a shit ton of threads already about this...but i'm really curious to see what everyone's opinion was on this topic.
which dehydrator do you prefer?
i was looking at the Ronco one but it seems that everyone says bad things about it. i really don't want to get one that uses heat because i don't want to loss any of potency.
and i also don't want to air dry it coz of the fact that the mushroom begins to rot soon after it's harvested.
so come and give me your opinion. but please don't bash me just because there's a billion other threads on the same topic.

Fan dry first, then desiccant.

You wouldn't lose potency using the ghetto dehydrator, there's no heat involved, just constantly circulating dry air, works like a charm, and you can make it as big or small as you need.

not really, I have dried several different ways and have not noticed any differance in potency.
The most important thing is to get them all the way dry. How you do it is secondary.

You can dry them pretty quick and not lose any more potency that putting them in a dehydrator. Put em on fans till they 90% dry, usually less than a day. Then use desiccant overnight and done, cracker crisp.

You can actually use kitty litter. Get the kind that uses silica gel. This is a lot cheaper than damp-rid because you can reuse it. Just bake it on low for an hour or so, or you can even microwave it to get it dry. I use tidycats crystals.

if your area has high humidity kitty litter or white rice will not dry your produce.
a food dehydrator works really well.
heat doesnt really affect potency as much as some people would say it does.
i recommend a food dehydrator. stock.
try eating 1/8 oz dried with an electric food dehydrator. you will be surprised by the lack of LACK of potency.

I use one of these purchased at EBay for $75.00:

Filled with this:

And vaccum sealed with this, EBay for $15.00:

Swear by it. Fast, clean-room clean and cracker dry in a day. Lab style. No potency loss issues, no electricity, no problems. Done right the way a medical lab would do it.

Dehydrators even with heating elements will not decrease potency because it does not get hot enough to destroy psilocybin 150F is fine. Don't just take my word ask anyone with experience. I know this question about potency loss has been asked many times with many different responses but the scientific proof still stands which is the melting point of psilocybin is higher than 150F which between 95F and 150F for dehydrators will not affect potency

tried a few of them. tried the big expensive ones to the el cheapo. i actually prefer the nabisco one. it's circular and has many levels.
reason: it has smaller holes. also it's quicker to remove trays since they are stacked on each other instead of pulling 10 different trays out of a large machine.
