This guy redunked after first flush. The mycellium seems to being turning brownish in spots.

Mold? Can I cut it away?

my cakes have looked like that before, but they turned yellow/brown because they dried out.  it was obvious too because they shrunk so much.

Isolate it and keep an eye on it i guess

Qtip test is fail.. you should roll it in verm again afer the dunk.. most likley metabolites.. it doesnt appear to be mold tho the picture quality doesnt help much.. take another pic stand farther away and then just crop the image..

It looks okay.  With those little sprouts, I wouldn't do anything crazy...

Personally I find theres no need to roll again, first time after birth is all you need after the flushes just dunk.

I don't even dunk anymore.  I started weighing my cakes after birthing and then again after dunking and they were not picking up anything.  I guess the reason being is that the moisture content in my substrate was near perfect to start with.  I started doing this when I noticed that the water in the dunk tub was not going down like it once did.

These days I just spray them down, roll in verm and place in fruiting chamber and hit them with the double end case.  Mist heavily once or sometimes twice a day and usually get 3-6 good flushes from each cake.
