reuse syringes or no?

was kinds wondering if its possible to reuse syringes that got left over spores in them. I mean if its possible why not right, but it seem like theyre all stuck to the plunger so how would i get them off and floating in water again without compromising the syringe and contaminating it?
Has anyone ever had success doin this and what steps should i take in trying to do so if possible

I have re-used my syringes by boiling them, and making my own syringes out of them. As far as trying to get the spores out that are still in there, if you boiled water, waited for it to cool, then suck up some water, that may work.

"syringes that got left over spores in them"
Like, just in the syringe without water, or do you have some actual solution left? I say make an LC, they say you can make it with a drop of spore solution, not really experienced with that, though, sorry.
Edit: I do know you need 1 cc spore solution, 1 tablespoon (I believe) karo/honey, and 400ml of water....and a pressure cooker. I think you need to incubate the LC, too, but I'm not sure. You can make 40 syringes from this!!!

Take a 1/2 pint jar with 1 hole in the lid taped up or self healing port, put water in it PC for 30 min let it cool down. In a glove box or sterile place flame the needle stick the needle in the hole suck up the sterile water. Now take a alcohol lamp or lighter heat up the needle till red keep the flame over the tip and suck in a few bubbles of air now shake like crazy the air in the syringe will help break up the spores

I herd that you can do that. I never had to I just make sure theres some sterile air in the syringe so I can shake em

no theyre empty just got spores in them still.
well theres a thought, 40 from that is a damn good deal and its alot cheaper

I know, you can do it with less spores, too, I'm sure. Start researching, I know I will when the proper time arrives

boil water in a small pot and then suck the boiling water in the syringe and spray it out into the sink... do it about 4 or 5 times... then all you need to do it flame sterilize the needle... i use this method all the time with no problem at all... plus its a lot faster then throwing them in the PC or boiling them...

I boil distilled water and fill syringes, place in a quart jar with no lid. Place these in my P.C. with my grain jars. Then pc the whole 90 min at 15 psi. while these are cooling down, I also p.c. a half piint of distilled water with an injection port in the lid as well. When all is cool, I have jars, and syringes ready to go. All work is done in front of a flow hood as well.

RR has said that Jet Dry will work to keep spores suspended better but he generally seems to advocate sex lube more (perhaps cause its buffered better so it wont burn your fun bits and thus is gentler to spores?)

RogerRabbit said: I think you're confusing dish soap with jet dry, used to avoid spots on glasses when washed in a dishwasher. It's sometimes added to spore syringes to help prevent the spores from sticking. A better choice is sex lube such as astroglide. Use one or two drops per 100ml prior to sterilization. RR

prepare a jar of sterile water-won't need much, a half pint jar will do. in a glovebox, suck the sterile water into your syringe and shake, that's it...test it out on a brf jar or two and store it. if the jars come out clean, you can 'noc' up a few more jars or make a liquid culture with it. i would imagine all of this would have a much higher chance of success if it was done as quickly as possible after the syringes initial use.
Search liquid culture, and syringe-making teks

Well i did it. i took a half pint that was already cleaned and i rubbed it down wit rubbing alcohol, the lid as well, and scrapped a whole spore print in to it. Then i dropped a marble that was boiled for 20min in with the spores and a couple drops of some sex lube and sealed it. The lid has 4 holes in it(12,3,6,and 9 o-clock) that are taped with two layers of micro tape.
Now i got some water to a rolling boil and sucked it up to about 9cc's. I then injected through the tape and squirted it out real hard to brake up the spores, when i was removing the needle i quickly covered the hole with another piece of micro tape and dipped my finger into some rubbing alcohol and dabbed the tape with it so it got a drop or 2 on it. This was repeated 3 more time( once for each hole) and the needle was heated till it was red hot before i injected to each hole . Then gave it a good swirl so the marble would brake the rest of the spores up even better.
When all this was said and done i put it on a a/c vent so it would cool quickly. Now my only question is, should i now put it in the pc for about 30mins or u guys think the steps i took were ok and everything should b OK. I would have used a self healing port but i have yet to get or make one. So ppl lemme know what u guys think on how i did this and if i should pc it for the hell of it just to b sure. Ima keep my fingers crossed and hope for the best, will b innocing 2marrow so we will c what happens in about a week and how its goin...
Its funny how certain parts of this post sound really dirty, like its spore porn
