Question On Alcohol and Ayahuasca

I was drunk last night. Can I take ayahuasca today? I'm finding mixed results and don't want to die.

I don't really think it matters that you where drunk last night,it should be out of your system by now.And ayahuasca doesn't interact with alcohol anyway.So if you are worried about about interactions it should be OK as long as you did not consume anything else.

Just keep in mind that ayahuasca deserves respect,if you don't give it to her she might take it.You know yourself better than we do so if you are feeling OK and confident about it do it,if you are hungover you might want to keep it for another day when you are rested.

I fasted yesterday (other than beer) and I'm not hung over..Stomach is certaintly empty--tried to make myself puke just to make sure and nothing came out other than bile so I guess I'm good.

Well,then you sound prepared.From personal experience and from reports i can tell you that alcohol doesn't interact with the brew,before,during and after.What MAOI's are you using?If it's the harmala's they don't really have interactions with food,they are reversible inhibitor's of monoaminoxidase A.

What plants are you using for your brew?

Either way have a good trip.

Oh, man.. this is so wrong.
If you 'THINK' that is the case, you should not be advising anyone!
It is not good, at all, to drink alcohol within a certain window of time
that you plan on drinking ayahuasca. As a sacred and very powerful medicine,
Aya should not be disrespected and carelessly taken. It's is wise to wait two or
even three days after drinking any fermented alcohol. Not too sure about non-
fermented, but why risk it? If someone has a need to get drunk, then their idea
of drinking Aya is probably out of place anyway. If your an alcoholic looking for
a cure to your addiction, then proceed with caution, and know that the aya will
pull out toxins in the deepest corners of your body, and you will suffer for it if
you haven't fasted to some degree and treated the process with respect.

OK, but make sure you stay hydrated. The odds of having a difficult trip are greatly increased if you still are hung over.
