Agar substitute
    #1099955 - 12/01/02 12:49 AM (21 years, 2 months ago)

Ok I plan to clone the kingpin (named my biggest pin that) but I dont have any agar and it is too late to get any. I am wondering if any of you know of any good substitues. I am thinking honey with some water or something along those lines.

i think honey is a bother. i've read posts where experienced growers here had zero success with repeated attempts with honey. i'm not saying you can't do it, but it may take a few trial and error runs to get it right. if you want to clone that guy right now and you don't have agar i think you should cut off tissue and put in sterile blender(or jar with something like glass shards to break it up) and shoot immediately in jars. then you can culture it in honey once you got that tek down...you should get some agar just to play with, it's fun
