Habitat: sea level Doug fir forest mixed with some alder growing in moss in soil
Gills: orange same color as cap and stem, decurrent, slightly blunt
Stem: Length 2-3 cm, diameter .5 cm, color orange, texture fibrouse, solid
Cap: Diameter 3 cm, color orange, texture smooth, plain to uplifted then finally depressed in old mature specimens
Spore print color: white or unattainable
Bruising: none
Other information: Scent strong ceder.
looks alot like the cantharellus cibarius i have been finding but much smaller with deeper gills and more fragrant

Kinda looks like Hygrophoropsis aurantiaca to me.

ha should have guessed H. aurantiaca when i just couldn't really fit it into cantharellus. amazing how the true gills look blunted like the chants
