A simple question about UV (or not so simple)

I’ve had a hard time finding the answer to this. I must be missing something. Does anyone here know a definitive answer to this one?
Would UV radiation, I.e. UV light, destroy spores? I understand it would and does kill nearly all bacteria if given about a 10 minute cycle as in those toothbrush sanitizers et al, but the question is can or does it harm spores? Then more specifically, mushroom spores.
Never mind my motive I am just curious about that one question.

well uv light is used to kill off bacteria and mold spores, you really think the light is going to care they are spores from the mushroom and go gentle on them? They will die just like all other spores in the uv lights path...

Shoot me a pm if you would like a powerful custom laser built. 4th pic is a 1.3W 445nm laser burning thru some plastic makeup containers. Yes I was wearing proper safety goggles, otherwise I would be blind right now.

Actually it's not so simple a question. I just did not ask it thoroughly. I was hoping for a deeper answer. Spores can stand the UVC heat longer then other already 'sprouted' living organisms such as the myriad of bacteria and mould we find in our homes. And I also read that mushroom spores are a bit less robust in surviving a burst of UVC then the common mold spores we find in our homes. But that is where my research path ended. There is a lot published about UVC as a germicide but I couldn’t find anything about the tolerance level of specific organisms specifically mushroom spores and the common bacteria and mould we find in our homes.
So I guess my question wasn’t as specific as it should have been to get the answer I was looking for. Boo-hoo me for hiding my motive.
Let me clarify or dig deeper… How robust are mushroom spores under UVC? I already know for a fact they are not as robust as most mould spores such as the dreaded Trichoderma but are they more robust then already sprouted organisms like bacteria? Do you think they can take a 3 minute hit? 5 minutes? 10 minutes? At what EPP rate would a spore survive but a living organism like actual mould die?
This is closer to hitting the purpose of my question. Any ideas?
P.S. Your cat is overweight.

Most UVC lights have a 99.9% kill rate within 10 seconds.
This includes all spores.

My opinion: UV light is so dangerous to humans that it's not appropriate in mycology.
You wouldn't sterilize with gamma rays from a Cobalt-60 source, would you? UV light is the same thing.

so let me see i am sorry to jump in like this but i am verry interested in this. i have a light and want to know what type of benefit would it be.
could i use it to kill all the spores on a mushroom and any bac and or other bad green guys.
if i do zap my shrooms will they mutate due to cell stuff going on?
just what would i get out of it that is positive cuz if there are more positive things than neg. "dead spores" then i might use it to keep my lc clean and see if muts come from it.
i think its uvc will check wave etc.
