pinning rh!!

Right now my terrarium's rh is at 83%. I humidify with with a small container of perlite/water/h2o2. I was wondering what a good way to raise the rh to 95-100% rh for pinning would be. I really don't want to have to use a bunch of perlite in the bottom of the terrarium (fucking messy) then empty it out after pinning has started to maintain the proper rh of 85% for fruiting. thanks in advance.

Put a second small container of perlite in there, then when its time to fruit, take the second one out.

hmm, you could put perlite on the bottom and then put foil on top of that. remove foil and humidity shoots up, cover and it goes down. i was doing cakes in a fruiting chamber and decided to spawn them for casings, i covered up the bottom and noticed a lot less condensation on the lid.

A container of water and an air pump might work.

I just have the perlite in the bottom and when fruiting startes i open the lid a bit and along with increased oxegen, it dramatically lowers the humidity. But i guess i increase the suseptibility to contam..... no problems though.

I think the best option would be the second container with moist perlite in it which is removed once pinning has been set. It's a lot less messy than simply filling the bottom with perlite and should provide a noticable increase in humidity. It may steal valuable real estate on the floor of the terrerium depending on your setup, so you may want to hang the bowl or whatever from the side of the terrerium, about halfway down the side wall.

Anybody remember my website from several years aga? PM if so please.

Thanks for the help guys. I just added the second container, seems like it'll do the trick.
