What is the best depth to gain the maximum results from rye substrate ?and what would be the best depth for the casing layer?

ok....  First, colonized rye grain is called "spawn"  Second, you cant do a g2g to a brf cake because you should have a dry verm layer on top.  You could do this tek to knock up your brf cakes though.

If you are going to fruit the gain strait, I would probably use a casing layer for extra moisture.  I however would recommend spawning it to straitcoir.  Then you could put it into a monotub and get a lot more bang for your buck.

  Good luck!
