"No one will believe that Americans can predict the future, we will have to make it seem like these come from China."

If fortune cookies were "Japanese" then I'd believe them.

When I was in the first grade or so I got one that said "You will go to Disneyland soon"

I got super fucking excited. Eventually I did get to go, but I don't consider 6 years later very "soon." Usually its the same old extremely vague generalizations that fortune tellers use.

Fortune cookies, in a Robert Anton Wilson sense of the term, nevertheless travel a suspiciously serious path in order to deliver to us what we later interpret as nonsense.

It must undergo a rather arduous process of production, manufactoring, and distribution in order to passively create a 5 second giggle/brain fart.

the fortune in the cookie does not exist until the cookie is cracked.

I wasn't sure how to take that.

I've gotten that one twice now, I assumed it was alluding to the actual cookie tasting sweet, but that's just stupid.

"It tastes sweet" works well with the "in bed" game too.

I got one just recently that said, "Thanks for getting me out of that cookie."

I got ripped off.
