Does aya typically have a bad crash? Feel burnt out or fried?

Whenever I come off of it, I am ready to take on the world!  I feel like I just fought an epic battle to retain my sanity and it feels damn good to have won.  I am usually euphoric after an aya trip.

Actually quite the opposite. It's a one of a kind sort of drug, it hasn't got any crash/comedown whatsoever. You tend to feel highly euphoric, calm and centered for the week afterwards. This eventually fades away with the last traces of DMT in your body.

I get that way to after a acid trip or a mushroom trip. BUT I still feel like my brain has been forced to run for hours in somekind of Marathon and needs to sleep.

You guys are saying that there is less of a crash or fried out feeling on aya then from mushrooms or LSD? I mean I still feel like after a trip I have done some great epic task and it feels good but I also feel tired and warn out and want to sleep.

How soon after my trip is over should I be able to fall asleep? I know that is different for everyone but give me some answers.

With LSD I take 24hours after dosing to fall asleep.
And with mushrooms it can take a few hours after I comedown to actually get to sleep, of course benzos help.

Put it this way, I can drink in the morning, trip and go about the rest of my day once the trip is done, as if I just woke up.

I heard that it has the most pleasant afterglow of all psychedelics...
Use proper materiels. And do the egg white/gelatin tek to get rid of most of the nasties...

Oh and, you are supposed to sleep afterwords, and then when you wake up you get the afterglow.

Never got an "aya crash",i got a lot of weirdness after a panic attack i had while coming down but the following week i was calm and centered.
Half my reason for doing psychedelics is the afterglow...:grin:

I can take aya at 8 and go to bed at 12.

The comedown is so gentle.

It almost reminds me of coming off a roll, but without the desire to redose or anything.

Don't take benzos coming off an aya trip.

Totally unecessary and it will cloud the serenity of the experience.

I don't even drink alcohol the same night.

It's not because I am following a recommended diet or anything.

I just have no desire to do anything afterward, beside reflect on how lucky I am to experinece life.

Umm no ayahusca wont really make you crash, you might feel drained if you fasted before or soemthing like that. I honostly believe someone is an idiot if they do ayahusca without a genuine shaman, the shaman someones your guardians to guide you through the trip and protect you. One must becareful with Ayahuasca. I would recommend pure NN DMT (ayahusca contains more than this)....its only 5 minutes long and the  2 people ive watched do it claim to  feel reborn and connected with god and allt heir self-consious burdens have been lifted. They described alien figures guiding them and showing them what to do.

DMt is CONSTANTLY in you and is believed to be involved in dreaming, meditation and near death experiences. First of all, the MAO-I in aya wears off within 12 hours, after that time period ALL the DMT will be quickly be broken down within 10 minutes because of monamine oxidase (MAO).... as for the experience, you really need a shaman to help break the veil.

Clemens I think this could be the case, im remembering an MRI brain scan of a brain on and off ayahuasca, and the brain on ayahusca was using 50% as opposed to the 10% we use in normal consiousness

I disagree with that people are idiots for taking it without a shaman. Sometimes you just don't have the option. As long as you respect the brew, love it, and accept whatsoever happens to you, and ask the brew to treat you as gentle as possible, yet still take you where you need to be, then you will be fine. Just remember to chant.

Shamans are overrated.I am not questioning that they know what they are doing and are very experienced and skillful in guiding a trip but they do that in their own frame of reference.I am not sure that this applies to the world we live in.

I for one sure wouldn't want to be walking the streets minding the spirits of the telephone-poles...

Well I have smoked NN-DMT before a few times and it was very intense and I broke through. I want to try aya now because everyone says it is such a giving experience and I think I could need that right about now.

I am very experienced with LSD and mushrooms in low medium and high doses.

I also hear not to do any drugs at all, not even coffee, 24 hours before your aya trip. This true?

I don't like fasting.  If I am going to do ayahuasca, I generally do it first thing in the morning so that I have an empty stomach.  I don't think you need to abstain from food or coffee for 24 hours.  I never do.

Word is that fasting is not really necessary. You should treat it like a mushroom trip for the most part, knowing that it has more effect on your stomach, so maybe eat healthier or lighter.

Abstaining from drugs is no joke though. MAOIs can be deadly with opiates and amphetamines. Many other drugs, especially pharmaceuticals, could be extremely dangerous. Even be careful about herbal supplements and stuff of the like that may contain ephedrine or other strong natural drugs. If you decide you want to take a few hits of acid or something, you'll be fine (physically), but something like dob or mdma could kill you.

I wouldn't worry about a crash or anything like that. In fact, I think you'll be quite surprised how not drug-like this experience truly is.

It is medicine.
