Stalled WBS jars
    #10991867 - 09/03/09 10:48 AM (15 years, 4 months ago)

I've got 13 pints of WBS colonizing as we speak.  A couple of them are very close to being 100%, but the rest of them have been stuck around 90-95% for a while now.

I'm going to continue waiting to see if they finish up but I was thinking I could try taking one that's been stuck at 95%, shake off the top grain and use it.  I was thinking I could do this, mixing a pint with a little vermiculite, then casing with straight verm, just to see if it worked.  I've got enough jars, I can afford to do a personal experiment with one.  Anyone think there would be too many problems with this?  I've never tried casing grains at all.

Anyone have any tips on what I should do with my jars that are stalled?  I'm going to continue waiting for colonization, but I'm almost positive I've got some stalled jars.

Peace

So you washed your WBS spawn before you cased it?  How did you go about that?

I don't have slime in my jars, just dry, uncolonized seeds.  I'm thinking of trying to case one of them here in a day or so just to see if it works.
