a week or so back we found around 100 libs. the season has started. its just not yet in full swing.

It's completley pissed it down over the last few days, definately hunting. I'll post what, if anything, I find.

I don't know if that was the entire reasoning behind the bifurcation, however there are other differences in morphology per Stamets' book. Notably the cultivation parameters are remarkably different. I just posted this information in a current Liberty Cap grow thread.

Still not cold enough mate. It's pissed it down here (Manchester) for about the past two weeks. I've been hunting 4 times in the past week, in spots that grew loads last year, but I've not had any luck yet. Where abouts are you, Smokey186?

Same story in Berkshire. Rain but no shrooms. Found my first field with cows in today but it is private property so a tough one to explore. I'm sure they will crop up there when the temp drops.

I live near Manchester too. After the temperature dropped Fri night I managed to find about 40 libs in a half hour hunting yesterday. The season has definately started up north.

allo all! anybody having any luck so far? i went on a hunt today after waking up to find 15 libs in my garden and one tiny baby pin, no luck tho, my usual spots are bare. i never used to take less than 70 libs at a time, and usually went for doses in the 150-300 mark. it occured to to me tonight that this is a bit overboard. lol out of sheer boredom and dissappointment tonight i ate about 30 libs and i was surprised at the effects. very, very very mild, but still, im certainly not feeling normal by any stretch! really happy no visuals or any of the usual stuff just extremely happy. its in my nature to go completely overkill on certain things but i proved myself wrong tonight. no need to have the world melting around you. lesson learned. lol

I went on a little mission 2 days ago to a well known spot near where I live in West Yorkshire and there were a fair few libs out and about, since then it has warmed up slightly though so im unsure as to whether they will still be out, Im not sure just how cold it needs to be since im pretty new to shroom picking.
And to SuperTed, what a nice lesson learned =) Happy is a great result I would say, almost as good as having libs growing in your garden haha  !

Nah.. i personally don't want 'happy' as good as that is. It is temporary. I want to have a semi-intense trip that makes me contemplate while im tripping and leads to further contemplation long after the trip is over.

yeah i always used to go for the hold mindbending stage, its way more fun but last night wasnt all bad and anyway im glad i wasnt on another planet completely when my mother walked in, at least i was capable of speech

was with a friend and saw a few in an undisclosed location south east of London growing on some cow pats... Too bad it was on private property and fenced off.
The highlight of the journey was accidently crossing paths with two other strangers, who I strongly suspect where after the same thing as we were. I can remember turning my head back twice after walking past eachother on the path, we both just laughed on the second eye glance. If anyone here on shroomery was hunting there yesterday in a location fairly close to a frequently toured cave give me a shout

I know for a fact i share both my locations, hunt before last two people came on just as i was leaving,,  .
I try and get out early on weekdays, preferably in bad weather to avoid them.

Im so excited, got my first ever Liberty Caps today, its the first time i really bothered to jump into a field and look, within two minutes i spotted one and as i crouched down for a closer look i realised i was standing in a little group of them. I only picked 8 and left the smaller ones, it started pissing rain so i left. Il be back though 
Il stick up pictures later, have to charge my camera battery first. Iv found P. foenisecii
before thinking they were libs but these ones are deffo libs

FOOLS!
The Season has started, true its not in full swing, but between us a friend and I have found about 500 (about 14/15g dry) so far mostly about three weeks ago but I've been out three time now.
I wont tell you exactly where my favorite spots but they are in gud ol' Yorkshire.
Look out for:
north facing slopes (around 300m)
sheep
rocky crags
yellow and green patches of grass
the yellow patches lead to GOLD!
Yum yum.
YES YES PEOPLE all we need is a bit more wet weather after this dry spell and we are in for a rite ol' treat!
