Lowe's Katrina Cottage

Check these out, they run from 45-55$ per sq ft for everything except the land, foundation, and labor. The package includes appliances, plumbing, electrical... etc. They meet local building codes and pass hurricane standards.

You can very easily add onto them later. They're supposably the next big affordable housing option, its essentially a mix between a trailer and a modular home.

If you have good experience in residential construction you could probably put together a crew of people and build it in a couple weeks.

These things looks sweet and cheap, the only downfall is probably your resale value, what do you guys think?

Yurts are cool, my dads been thinking about putting one in the woods at our property for use as another cabin. I like how these look like a house though.
