Too much patch work on a tub
    #10982525 - 09/01/09 08:41 PM (15 years, 4 months ago)

I read a grow where a guy had pretty optimal conditions but his pinset wasn't too big.
I know there are MANY factors in an uneven/weak pinset, but in this thread a conclusion was reached that he might have patch his casing too many times.

1) Is it possible to patch one too many times without seeming overboard?

2) Is 3 or even 2 times too much patching for a substrate with the beginning of uneven myc.?

:tunnel: I'm not talking a plentiful amount mycelium but more so as the casing is first getting sigs of myc

Can a heavy patching result in a weak pinset?

Did you use an isolate for these?  They look good.

Depends on your sub depth.  Light patching can help covering up exposed parts of your sub after heavy harvest.
