North Ga Psilocybin :) Enjoy

It has been about 4 years since my neighborhood produced any actives.

Currently they are spore printing.

Here are some habitat photos, and the haul.

I left all babbies and non large caps for regeneration of field.

Those look like carulescens to me, but thats just me.

P. caerulescens is often macroscopically identical to P. weilii.  Its best to check for pleurocystidia.  One other difference is that P. caerulescens can grow much larger and is more prone to grow in cespitose clusters.  If I lived in GA I would be checking every every single weilii I could get my hands on for pleurocystidia.

The easiest way is to take a fresh cap, cut a slice off the edge, then cut another very thin slice, leaving a very thin section that is sawtooth shaped (with the saw teeth being the gills).  The pleurocystidia will be on the edges of the saw teeth and the cheilocystidia will be at the tips. Its best to look at around 200 to 400x magnification.
