Even before I had shrooms I was inclined to fantasies of wanting to be abducted by aliens. (quite possible developed after an abduction, I have had some strange dreams, and I saw some really weird shit as a kid.)
I had a great longing for it, and I feel it was a message that my soul craved the mushroom, and knew about it. It makes me feel that terrence mckenna's theory might just be a very plausible explination to this tendancy. Most people actually want rapture from this mundane reality, we all have that longing, no matter how happy we are, and how great life can be, we all have that drive, and it is more powerful even than the sex drive. Some people just do not realize it, but that is just the ego suppressing the true self.
