My mushroom trips are never just either "GOOD" or "BAD," though. Parts are good, and parts are bad. On the more "rough" trips though, I tend to learn more stuff that helps me in my life, and the comedown is AWESOME once the mindfuck goes away, I realize that I actually AM sane, and yet at the same time I'm still seeing awesome visuals.
that sounds exactly like my shroom trips! lol

On a final note, LSD is a MUCH smoother, "cleaner," more "transparent" trip for me. I love that lysergic bliss. Shrooms throw things in my face, whereas LSD let's me go where I want to (for the most part.)
i haven't gotten out of control unless it's been because of the first of your options on the list here... but the rest have happened to an extent where i've made importent observations that would otherwise have been laughed at or uncared for... but there is always a time when that can change but for now... thought loops and negative thoughts haven't really lead to me puking and having the trip turn to something not enjoyable. unless when it's been because of strength of body load and/or amplification of my senses, cause unforunatly my body likes to forcfully reject such things when too prevelant. stupid body :p oh well, the majority of my trips are awesome, andonly seem to be at risk when using sub-par doses for having a full on trip. light doses (1 to 2 grams) and heavier doses (5 to 6 and not further YET) i "seemingly" am impervious to being starstruck by shroomyness for to distracting of an amount of time (unless wanting to but not to distract, mainly when by myself)
lsd is pretty different with the slopes of it's effects in comparison to mushrooms so i can't explain why exactly i've had bad acid trips, except for that i've had two and they were all on trips that started past midnight, and they weren't horrible too long but enough that my trips were significantly distracted.

You're going to have a terrible first bad trip if you look at it that way. People who say bad trips can't happen don't know how to handle them when they do. Psychedelics aren't about being confident or cocky. If you don't respect them they'll turn your brain into mush and feed it back to you.

Only really bad trip (LSD - shrooms are always fuckign amazing for me.. so far) I've ever had was when, for about an hour, I was stuck on a psychotic thought loop. The start would hit me and I would start thinking things like 'fuck, how do I REALLY know that my friends aren't going to kill me?' or 'How do I know I'm even REAL?!'
This went on for 5 minutes and then I would be all 'Hey I'm an idiot for even thinking that..' and all the colours would come back. Then 1 minute later the loop would repeat itself. This continued on for about an hour till we got out of the city and back to my mates house. I think it was just because we were a bad area of the city on a friday night. Yeah.. definitely. Was a bad idea even going through there but we had to to get home.

showme said: bad trips are trips that i don't learn much from.
and yes, those trips exist. even when thinking back on them.
after a bad trip two nights ago, I don't understand how people can take like 10 grams.
i do belive bad trips exist, ive never known anyone that this has happened to, but isnt it possible to have a really bad trip and after the trip youre still messed up mentally, like depressed or scared?
yep.
my very third trip was a big bowl of WHOA SHIT. big dose, chaotic setting.
mindloops, shitty feelings about myself, and the sense that i'd been kicked out of the beautiful realm i'd seen on my first two trips.
it really hit me hard. i was depressed for a couple months.
but i still knew this didn't mean "quit shrooming." that trip was a challenge at the gate: 'think you want to go further with this? okay, try this on for size'
the bad trip did make me read and think a lot, i came to the shroomery, lots and lots of good things came out of that shitty experience. i kept tripping, got better with set & setting, got better at letting go while shroomed.
i'm glad for my experiences, all of them.

Psilocypher said: I remember the first time i smoked salvia (20x) it was like what I describe as an 'echo of all senses.' All my vision, hearing, taste, smell and every single nerve on my body was stuck in a one second echo/delay effect. It was weird feeling the slightest sense of touch repeat itself throughout my body. I mean everything. Even just how I felt emotionally for a split-second repeated itself a few times and faded out. It was one of the strangest experiences of my life, and one of the best after I stopped panicking - the part that Terence McKenna describes as "knowing real fear" lol
I know exactly what you mean. Another thing that's weird with salvia is perpetual motion, or perpetual falling effect. I was sitting on my bed when I took three large hits. After the drug hit, I wanted to get up. Between the time I sat to the time I was fully standing, felt to me like hours lol. Fucking weird.
